About Us
Here at Daddy Shark Swim School our priority is to ensure that your little shark bursts with water confidence, understands how – and is able – to stay safe in and around the water and blows you away with their achievements.
Swimming skills
We follow Swim England standards, with a bit of Daddy Shark extra flavour. From our baby seahorse lessons through to our Stage 4 orcas, each of our swimmers will be achieving new skills that will develop them as safe, independent and proficient swimmers. Our babies practise lifesaving floating on their backs; our Stage 2 swimmers learn how to kick like frogs and dolphins, and our Stage 4 swimmers will refine their breathing and timing. And no one will be using the ladder!
Action packed!
We want our swimmers swimming! Our baby and pre-school lessons with group sizes of up to 12 have a great atmosphere, packed to the brim with activities to build swimming skills. Our independent swimmers are in the water throughout their lesson, doing as much as we can as a group, whilst still taking time for children to perform exercises individually as well.
Autism Swim
Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are 160 times more likely to drown than their neurotypical peers.
Autism Swim is widely recognised as the leading expert in wandering and drowning prevention for those with ASD/cognitive deficit.
We're proud to be an Autism Swim approved swim school. We have teachers who have undergone Autism Swim training in order to better understand the condition and how best to help our swimmers with ASD.
Children's University
Children spend only 9% of their waking life in the classroom. Children’s University encourages, tracks and celebrates extra-curricular learning, which research shows can positively impact on attainment, increase a child’s positive identification with school, and build self-confidence and resilience. We’re pleased to be a Children’s University approved learning provider.
